This position supports the financial operations of the district by handling invoice processing, account coding, and project documentation. The work helps ensure that payments, records, and financial data remain accurate and up to date. As an Accounting Assistant, you will perform the following duties:
- Invoice Processing: Create, review, and process invoices while ensuring accuracy and resolving vendor concerns
- Workflow Monitoring: Run reports and review documents to identify items needing action across the district
- Purchasing Card Coding: Enter and verify account coding for purchasing card transactions and assist staff with corrections
- Project Documentation: Establish and maintain project numbers and files for state and federally funded work
- Financial Assistance: Assist staff with SAP Finance issues and help maintain accurate accounting records
- Administrative Support: Complete filing, copying, mail tasks, and other duties as assigned to support office operations
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia.
The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview. - Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685 (before taxes).

- Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
- An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
