Records Clerk
Contract Opportunity | Hybrid – Denver Metro Area
Pay: $23–$27/hour
Schedule:
Full-Time | 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 6 Months (Potential Extension into 2027)
Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a well-established organization to hire a Records Clerk / Records Analyst for a project-based contract opportunity supporting records and information management initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed, independent work and has experience with records management, database updates, file organization, or archival support.
This position offers a primarily remote schedule, with occasional onsite work required at office and storage locations in the Denver metro area. Candidates will need reliable transportation for travel to and from locations.
Key Responsibilities
Review and audit physical file boxes and records inventory
Update and maintain records databases and spreadsheets organized by department
Research and verify box information within the Iron Mountain database system
Travel periodically to an offsite records storage facility near I-70 & Peoria to inspect and review stored files
Open and review boxes to identify missing descriptions, dates, and department information
Ensure records are accurately labeled and categorized
Assist with additional records and administrative projects as assigned
Work independently on detail-oriented, high-volume tasks with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working around palletized storage boxes in a warehouse-style environment
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in records management, records analysis, library services, archives, database administration, or similar fields
Strong organizational and data-entry skills with high attention to detail
Experience maintaining databases and spreadsheets
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to work independently and manage repetitive, detail-heavy tasks effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous records management or archival experience
Experience working with offsite storage systems such as Iron Mountain
Library Services coursework or degree is highly preferred, but not required
Work Environment & Schedule
Full-time, 40-hour/week contract role
Primarily remote with occasional onsite visits required:
Office location near I-25 & Belleview
Storage facility near I-70 & Peoria
Equipment provided, including laptop
Candidates must have access to a second monitor/home office setup
