Hours

Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm (Fridays work from home). During peak season, one Saturday and one Sunday are scheduled (work from home those days – 10‑hour shift from 7 am to 5:30 pm), then rotating 4–6 weeks with the team. Overtime pay is $34.50 an hour.

Job Description

This role coordinates and optimizes daily schedules for field technicians to ensure timely service delivery and exceptional customer support. The Field Service Dispatcher manages real‑time routing, resolves scheduling conflicts, and serves as the central communication hub between technicians and internal teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage daily schedules for field technicians, ensuring efficient routing based on location, skill set, and availability.
  • Assign service jobs to technicians and adjust schedules in real time to keep appointments on track.
  • Communicate directly with technicians to confirm job details, locations, and any special requirements before dispatch.
  • Monitor technician routes throughout the day to ensure on‑time arrivals and optimize scheduling efficiency.
  • Respond quickly to scheduling conflicts, delays, or unexpected issues and make proactive adjustments to minimize disruption.
  • Prioritize new service requests and assign them promptly to maintain fast response times.
  • Coordinate with third‑party partners when internal technicians are unavailable to ensure coverage and prevent delays.
  • Act as the central point of contact for technicians, providing updates, solving problems, and supporting day‑to‑day field operations.
  • Use Microsoft 365 tools, including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office, to communicate, document, and track scheduling activities.
  • Follow established processes and procedures while identifying opportunities to improve scheduling and dispatch workflows.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align daily dispatch activities with broader company objectives and service standards.
Essential Skills
  • 1–3 years of experience dispatching technicians or drivers in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proven experience with dispatch, route delivery coordination, and scheduling appointments.
  • Strong scheduling and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of settings and styles.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly when facing new problems and adapt to change.
  • Strong organizational agility, with an understanding of how to get things done through formal and informal channels.
  • Solid planning skills, including scoping tasks, setting objectives, developing schedules, and assigning work.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities effectively, focusing on critical tasks and eliminating roadblocks.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, using rigorous logic and methods to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Capability in process management, including understanding and following established processes and procedures.
