PurposeThe Program Coordinator supports the Department of Computer Sciences student affairs initiatives by providing administrative and operational support to both the student organizations program and the academic affairs team. In collaboration with the Senior Student Program Coordinator, this role serves as a primary point of contact for student organization leaders, serving as a resource on policies, procedures, and administrative processes.
Responsibilities- Program Support:
Coordinate event logistics and operational planning for student organization leaders, providing vendor and procurement support and financial oversight by tracking expenditures; support scholarship applications and stewardship efforts with CS Academics Staff; support academic programs such as summer academies and academic advising in an administrative capacity. - Administrative Support:
Assist with accounting operations by preparing and submitting invoices, reimbursement requests, and required administrative documentation; communicate with vendors to ensure timely processing and payment of invoices; assist in undergraduate travel arrangements and coordination.
- Bachelors degree and three years of experience coordinating or administering a program.
- Solid administrative support experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and in examining, organizing, and reporting information accurately.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and writing skills.
- Experience providing support in a customer service environment with excellent customer service skills.
- High level of professionalism.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated use of initiative and judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with the University of Texas at Austin policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of UT Mainframe, Adobe Acrobat, Docu Sign, Canvas, and UTBox.

Work Conditions- Attire:
Business Casual - Standard Office Environment
- Hours per week: 19
- Hours are flexible, as needed during work hours. Standard office environment with occasional remote work permitted upon approval from supervisor.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
