Overview
We are seeking an energetic, curious, patient, and competent individual to serve as a Personal Assistant to our non‑profit's President/Founder, working closely with a client who has mild physical and mental disabilities.
The main responsibilities include launching and maintaining the organization’s inaugural website, managing the founder’s communications, overseeing social media presence, and handling various office administration duties.
Responsibilities- Come to the founder’s home office and help organize their vision into specific web pages, creating the website layout (sitemap).
- Manage email and phone communications for The New Synthesis.
- Handle office management duties such as filing, data entry, bookkeeping with Quick Books, and maintaining organized records.
- Oversee social media accounts: create accounts on all digital platforms, schedule posts, monitor engagement metrics, and respond to comments or messages in a timely manner.
- Proofread and edit digital content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency; assist with transcription tasks as needed.
- Learn website creation and management skills if a deeper role is desired.
- Drive the founder to appointments and errands; a valid Oregon driver’s license is required. A car may be provided if necessary.
- Prior social media management experience across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or Linked In; familiarity with scheduling tools is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent computer literacy:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets). A willingness to acquire new computer skills is essential; training will be provided. - Experience with Quick Books or other bookkeeping software is a plus but not required.
- Good typing speed combined with proofreading and transcription skills to ensure high‑quality output.
- Knowledge of event planning procedures and project coordination techniques.
- Willingness to work with a client who has mild physical and mental disabilities.
- Valid Oregon driver’s license; a car may be provided if necessary.
- Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour.
