Student Assistant – School of Education
Become part of the School of Education (SOE) team as a Student Assistant. This position is ideal for a student who is friendly, organized, and eager to gain professional office experience. Duties include assisting visitors, managing phone communications, and supporting daily administrative operations in a positive, team-focused workplace.
Responsibilities- Assist visitors with inquiries and directions.
- Manage phone communications for the office.
- Support daily administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and operating office equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality, attention to detail, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with at least six credit hours in the current semester, or have had six or more credit hours in the preceding semester and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, or have approval from the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs or their designee.
- Be a current undergraduate student only.
- Possess strong clerical, technical, and communication skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and database applications.
This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, Alaska.
