Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Money Market Administrator / Officer to join our team. This role combines administrative support, client servicing, transaction processing, and compliance responsibilities within a money market environment.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, accurate under pressure, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while delivering excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Administration & Support
- Manage daily emails, correspondence, and telephonic enquiries
- Respond to client queries (balances, statements, general requests)
- Assist clients with documentation (e.g. withdrawals, mandates)
- Maintain professional client communication via email, phone, and other channels
- Schedule and attend client meetings where required
- Action ad hoc client and internal requests
2. Transaction Processing & Money Market Operations
- Receive and record client transactions (telephonic/email instructions)
- Ensure all transactions received before cut-off time are processed same day
- Execute transactions on systems (Investec CCM and Nedbank Corporate Saver)
- Make and schedule payments
- Open new client accounts and update client profiles
- Compile and print daily transaction schedules for approval
- Maintain accurate transaction records
3. Compliance & FICA (KYC) Management
- Ensure full FICA compliance and documentation for all clients
- Review client information and conduct periodic risk reviews
- Follow up with clients for outstanding or non-compliant documents
- Assist with completion and verification of mandates
- Ensure mandates and FICA are approved prior to account opening
- Submit documents for authorisation and system updates
4. Systems & Record Management
- Capture and maintain accurate client records on Elite (CCM) system
- Scan, link, and file all documents (FICA, mandates, transactions, correspondence)
- Link email communication and recorded calls to client profiles
- Store and manage call recordings on One Drive
- Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems
5. Foreign Exchange & Reporting
- Prepare Balance of Payments (BOP) forms for foreign transactions
- Liaise with banks and third parties to finalise forex deals
- Track and allocate associated client charges
6. Reconciliations & Reporting
- Perform daily system reconciliations and audit trail checks
- Balance money market systems with reports and working papers
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to clients
- Maintain accurate audit documentation
7. Team Support & Projects
- Support team members and management as required
- Assist with ongoing projects and process improvements
- Contribute to maintaining efficient operational workflows
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
