Modern Construction and Facilities Maintenance Services (Modern Construction Services, LLC) is a full-service, WBENC-certified company located in Charlotte, NC offering clients regional commercial construction and renovation as well as nationwide 24x7x365 facility maintenance services.
We are hiring a driven professional to join our Vendor Management Department in support of clients across the country as a Vendor Sourcing Coordinator.
Vendor Coordinators play a critical role in supporting our growing company by ensuring our clients receive dependable service as we expand and onboard new accounts. In this position you will help us recruit a nationwide network of vendors, tradespeople, and contractors by making high-volume outbound calls to quickly source and secure the right professionals, while balancing speed, urgency, and construction compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, call-heavy environment, has attention to detail, excels at quickly locating high-quality subcontractors.
The rate of pay is $25.00/hour, and the position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime pay.
This position is in-office (the location is 5900 Harris Technology Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28269) and is not remote (work from home).
Requirements Job Functions- Drive real-time vendor / subcontractor sourcing through high-volume phone outreach, quickly engaging vendors to confirm availability, capabilities, and timelines for urgent needs
- Build and maintain proactive vendor pipelines, using consistent outreach and relationship development to support upcoming projects
- Connect the right vendor to the right job, leveraging strong communication and problem-solving skills to keep operations moving efficiently
- Act as the voice behind administrative processes, reinforcing email requests through direct calls to ensure vendors understand and complete required documentation
- Hold vendors accountable for responsiveness and compliance, actively following up to secure timely updates and required submissions
- Ensure administrative quality and consistency, overseeing documentation standards and closing communication gaps between vendors and internal teams
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to stay persistent and direct on the phone
- Ability to handle rejection and continue outreach in a call-heavy environment
- Solution-oriented, with the ability to adapt and overcome diverse challenges
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities across departments
- Familiarity with MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Etc.)
- Experience in high-volume calling roles such as load coordination, dispatch, freight brokerage, recruiting, or outbound sales
- Experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or contractor sourcing
- Knowledge of business compliance requirements (COI, W9, licensing)
- Experience with CRM systems, dispatch tools, or vendor management platforms
