, serving as the essential partner to the Department Chair/Athletic Director in advancing our mission of athletic excellence and holistic student development. The Athletic Department Coordinator serves as the central operational hub for the department, providing high-level administrative support to the Department Chair/Athletic Director and ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations. This full‑time, year‑round position, reporting to the Department Chair, acts as the primary liaison between the department and internal and external constituents, managing complex scheduling, departmental communications, and student staffing, as well as acting as the chief curator of the department's public narrative, which includes creating engaging digital content, managing the departmental website, and designing internal and external announcements to reflect the College's mission.
Duties And Responsibilities Chair & Leadership Support
- Manage the Chair’s complex calendar, assist with travel arrangements, and reconcile P‑Cards.
- Collect, synthesize, and summarize data for departmental reporting and trend analysis.
- Prepare high‑level communications and presentations; proofread, edit, and format official documents.
- Maintain departmental records and track faculty evaluations in coordination with the Dean of Faculty’s Office.
- Coordinate departmental job searches led by the Chair.
- Serve as the diplomatic public face of the department, providing reception and information services.
- Maintain departmental calendars, schedule rooms, and coordinate logistics for meetings and public ceremonies.
- Manage administrative budgets, oversee office and facility supply procurement, and handle incoming/outgoing mail and packages.
- Supervise the student facility monitor program: hire, train, schedule, and evaluate student monitors.
- Manage PE credits for the 2026‑2027 academic year and assist in the transition to Workday.
- Support the Director of Athletics Communication by creating and posting engaging social media content.
- Design and distribute internal communications, posters, and digital announcements using tools like Canva and PowerPoint.
- Update and curate specific portions of the departmental website to ensure accuracy and clarity for all stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- Education:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent - Experience:
1 to 2 years of relevant administrative or coordinator experience - Advanced skills in Google Suite and Power Point
- Strong written and oral communication skills with an eye for detail
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Experience navigating broad‑ranging interactions with the public or community members, particularly under pressure
- Web management experience (Word Press).
- Graphic design skills (Canva).
This position requires fully in‑person work on campus in Williamstown, MA. Remote work arrangements will not be available at this time.

Pay range is from $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
