The RoleAn exciting and immediate opportunity has arisen for a Project Administrator within the Programme Management Office. You will contribute to the strategic direction of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde by providing comprehensive administrative and organisational support within the Programme Management Office. The role will support the Head of Corporate Programmes, the Director of Corporate Services and Governance, as well as Directors and members of the Senior and Executive Team, ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of key corporate functions.
All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

- This is a full‑time role working 36 hours per week from Monday to Friday
You will deliver a high level of administrative and secretarial support, acting as the first point of contact for managers and teams within the Programme Management Office. The role includes the organisation and management of high‑profile meetings and events, including preparation of agendas and papers, diary coordination, minute taking and the tracking of follow‑up actions. Managing communications effectively by handling correspondence, responding to enquiries, and drafting both routine and complex communications.
They will support the production of accurate reports, presentations and documentation, including the collation of information from multiple sources and maintaining up‑to‑date project and programme records. In addition, the role will provide direct administrative support to the Head of Corporate Programmes and Head of Business, contributing to the efficient running of the department and supporting wider corporate objectives.
The role requires regular use of a wide range of information technology systems and packages, including intranet and internet resources, SharePoint, MS Teams, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project. You should have the necessary knowledge and skills to work confidently across these systems, supporting effective communication, documentation and project coordination. Familiarity with general office equipment and digital communication tools is essential, alongside the ability to manage information accurately and efficiently within a corporate environment.
- Must show competence in the use of range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL
- Conversant with office procedures and systems and able to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role
- Recognised qualification is desirable in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3, or significant relevant equivalent practical experience
