We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations within a growing educational environment. This position plays a critical role in providing clerical, organizational, and communication support to staff, students, and families. The ideal candidate will possess strong technology skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a commitment to maintaining efficient systems and processes.
The primary office location is in Lacey, Washington; remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates. Applicants must be residents of the State of Washington.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide administrative and clerical support to school leadership and staff.
- Manage correspondence, emails, phone calls, and inquiries from families, students, and staff.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and electronic filing systems.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining calendars.
- Support document preparation, data entry, reporting, and record management.
- Coordinate communication between departments and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and organize office workflows to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
- Assist with onboarding, tracking compliance documentation, and other administrative projects as assigned.
- Provide support for special education processes and documentation as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and web-based applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with team members.
- Resident of the State of Washington.
- Experience working in a school, educational, or nonprofit setting.
- Knowledge of school systems, student records, and educational processes.
- Familiarity with special education programs, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with multilingual populations and supporting diverse communities.
Based on Experience and Education, the salary is $19.10 per hour.
