The File Clerk at Wilson, Drinkard & Drinkard, LLC will be an integral part of our administrative team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a multitude of filing tasks, ensuring the accessibility and integrity of crucial firm documents. This position is suited for a highly organized professional who upholds confidentiality and prioritizes systematic organization.
Duties and Responsibilities- Implement file management and storage systems, ensuring consistent organization and storage of paperwork.
- Process, sort, and archive inbound and outbound documents.
- Maintain digital and physical files for ease of access and retrieval.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to facilitate the transfer and security of sensitive information.
- Perform regular audits of files and filing systems to ensure information is up to date and compliant with company policies.
- Assist in the development of filing systems or procedures for document handling and retention as needed.
- Provide administrative support including copying, scanning, and data entry tasks.
- Handle confidential and non-routine information, applying discretion at all times.
- Ensure the effective transition of documents during internal processes.
- Respond to internal requests for access to referenced files, and ensuring that legal and data protection procedures are followed.
- Maintain and operate office equipment used in the filing and storage of documents.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in filing, data entry, or administrative support is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
