Position SummaryThe Education Services Division (ESD) of the Arizona Supreme Court seeks an Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative support duties in coordination of statewide education projects and programs. This role provides support to the Division Director, manages routine division matters, establishes and organizes division files, manages budget-related tasks, coordinates travel arrangements, and prepares purchase orders.
The assistant composes and prepares routine and complex correspondence, reports, agendas, lists, labels, and financial documents; oversees development and implementation of support procedures; maintains information and forms common to the Division; and serves as liaison between the Division Director and the court community, AOC staff, ESD managers, specialists, and support staff. Additionally, the position schedules employment interviews, prepares and processes Committee and Board appointment packets, and provides assistance to other division support staff as needed.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three months of employment and has demonstrated the ability to perform assigned tasks.
Minimum Requirements• High school diploma or GED and four years of increasingly responsible experience in a full‑function office.
• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
• Excellent grammar, proofreading, oral, and written communication skills.
• Experience with business correspondence, reports, presentations, and documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and extensive knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and administrative assignments with minimal supervision, communicate effectively with staff, judges, the court community, and the public, and maintain confidentiality.
• Preferred: knowledge of design and delivery of education programs, desktop publishing software, and the Arizona Court system.
