Talis Group’s company client, a growing and specialized national insurance organization, is seeking an Insurance Administrative Assistant to support their claims team with administrative coordination, reporting, and document management. This role is ideal for a highly organized administrative professional with advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a unique area of insurance, and the company is open to training and mentoring individuals who bring strong administrative or legal support experience, professionalism, and excellent technical skills.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position, with benefits including health, dental, vision, simple IRA with employer match, paid time off, 10 paid holidays, an on-site gym, and tuition reimbursement. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30-5:00 with hybrid schedule available (after training you can work from home 1-2 days a week.) The salary range is $45k-$55k (depending on experience.)
Highlighted Duties- Provide admin support to the Claims Manager with law firm invoices, ensuring amounts are within compliance.
- Maintain detailed and organized claim files and documentation (electronic and hard copy).
- Create, update, and manage spreadsheets, reports, and data tracking using advanced Excel functions.
- Generate reports for internal leadership and external partners.
- Track deadlines, calendars, reminders, and claim activity using Outlook.
- Partner with internal departments including underwriting, sales, and accounting to support claims coordination and documentation.
- Assist with claim-related correspondence, approvals, and follow-up communication.
- Compile and organize data for reporting and operational purposes.
- Provide professional and responsive customer service to clients and internal teams.
- Assist with additional administrative projects and support duties as needed.
- High School Diploma/GED required;
Associate or Bachelor degree preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of strong administrative support in a professional organization or paralegal experience in a law firm is required.
- Prior experience in insurance, legal, professional services, or corporate office environment preferred.
- Experience in client billing/invoicing is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, team-oriented approach with strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to manage deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
