Position Summary
This position performs a combination of administrative and program related support to the Center Superintendent and other administrative staff at the Marshall Sherrer Correctional Center (MSCC). It includes responsibilities for purchasing, management and knowledge of technical support, approving/denying resident disbursement requests, auditing resident accounts, resident payroll, records and inventory management, background checks, and providing administrative assistance to center staff.
SalaryThis position is in pay schedule and range 02-11 with a starting pay of $22.31/hour
. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.

This position offers an optional hybrid remote work schedule, allowing potentially up to 1 day remote per week (after training is complete) based on work needs. Remote work must be performed from Wisconsin.
This position is FLSA Non‑Exempt. Anticipated schedule will be Monday – Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM. The position is not anticipated to travel on a regular basis, but most DOC positions occasionally travel for training, meetings, conferences, or similar events.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application. The Department of Corrections may conduct pre‑employment drug screens and criminal background checks, and upon hire all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
Qualifications- Data gathering, entry, and financial reports experience.
- Basic computer experience, including spreadsheets, word processing, and email.
- Experience working with records and forms.
- Basic math, cash handling, and customer service skills.
- A screening questionnaire will determine if candidates are minimally qualified to continue in the selection process.
