Position: Driver Svcs Call Ctr- Admin Assistant II - Remote.

Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) provides services to nearly every citizen of Colorado, including identification cards, driver licenses, vehicle registrations, titles, and related services. The Driver Control Section administers motor‑vehicle statutory requirements, manages driver data, and provides information to law enforcement and the public.

Position Summary

Driver Services Call Center – Administrative Assistant II. This role supports the DMV’s mission by ensuring accurate data management, customer service, and compliance with Colorado Motor Vehicle statutes.

Responsibilities
  • Data entry into databases and spreadsheets;
  • Provide customer service via telephone or in‑person to external stakeholders and customers;
  • Translate and clarify Colorado Motor Vehicle statutes, department administrative procedures, and policy to customers;
  • Determine the effect of statutory law on a driving record and determine the best approach for possible courses of action in response to division notices, restraints, or general licensing issues;
  • Advise customers regarding fees, documentation, and testing requirements;
  • Provide and instruct customers in identifying and acquiring the mandatory forms to accomplish desired actions;
  • Access the spreadsheet to determine the current location of a requested file; pull paper documents, scan copies, and return originals to their proper location; file and retrieve other documents as required.
Remote Work Information
  • This position is designated as remote but may require occasional on‑site visits to the department office at 2829 W Howard Place, Denver, CO 80204.
  • Employees are responsible for providing and maintaining a suitable home office, reliable internet, and a secure Wi‑Fi connection.
  • All performance expectations, productivity, and policy adherence requirements apply to remote work from home in the same manner as those assigned to an office.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in General Clerical and/or Call Center Customer Service work.
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service in a call center and/or online; interfacing with a variety of people from many levels within the organization and community.
  • Data entry experience, including entering information into a program or database (appointments, contact information, customer records).
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps).
  • Typing professional emails, letters, reports, briefings, forms, and memoranda.
  • Reviewing and comparing data for accuracy and completeness; gathering specified information and compiling routine reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Two or more years of experience working in a complex, high‑volume Call Center.
  • Experience handling sensitive confidential information.
  • Career progression in a general clerical and/or customer service position.
  • Bi‑lingual (Spanish speaking) candidates preferred.
