Position Summary
Pierce College seeks to fill two vacancies on the Campus Safety Program Support team. Both positions are full‑time, permanent, classified, overtime eligible, and require regular and consistent attendance. The positions report directly to the District Director of Emergency Preparedness and Campus Safety.
Program CoordinatorThe Campus Safety Program Coordinator provides customer service to students, employees and the public, maintains records and databases, supports reporting, budgeting, parking permit and ticket processing, key/access card tracking and issuance.
Salary
: $45,732–$54,204 annually, with increments up to $55,584. Cost‑of‑living increase of 2% effective July 1 2026. Primary work location:
Pierce College Puyallup campus.
The Campus Safety Program Specialist 2 provides customer service, communicates with Campus Safety Officers, processes records, maintains various databases, manages locks, driver safety, background investigations, visitor management, lost & found, training, reports and presentations. Manages Clery and Fire Safety Programs.
Salary
: $47,988–$56,880 annually, with increments up to $58,380. Cost‑of‑living increase of 2% effective July 1 2026. Primary work location:
Pierce College Fort Steilacoom campus.
- Maintain DOL, IVIPS contracts, search vehicle registration information, manage inquiry spreadsheet.
- Process parking tickets, match permits, maintain records, schedule parking appeals, review applicant history.
- Manage Safe Driver Program: issue DVDs, run background checks, submit tests, post approved drivers.
- Administer employee access cards, adjust system settings, run activity reports, unlock/lock doors on request.
- Process key requests, maintain Key Wizard database, update room locations, manage key storage safe, issue contractor key sets.
- Maintain and update Campus Safety publications (parking tickets, brochures, permits, warning cards, event arrows).
- Coordinate Clery incident reporting, retain reports, provide copies to Dean of Students and HR.
- Track and maintain accident information, report to HR and Safety Manager.
- Maintain Persons of Interest files and spreadsheet.
- Process and maintain inventory of found items, contact owners.
- Order office supplies and safety supplies, process purchase requisitions and vouchers, reconcile purchase card expense reports.
- Generate fuel card statements, compile annual Gas Emissions Report.
- Maintain records retention schedule per state guidelines.
- Issue parking permits, carpool passes, temporary passes, campus guides, key request cards, access card applications, incident statements, accident reports, hazard forms, tort information.
- Explain parking procedures, maintain knowledge of FERPA, handle calls, provide campus assistance, dispatch officers.
- Coordinate officer response to emergency responders, dispatch officers for courtesy service requests.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Program Coordinator:
Progressive office/admin experience, records management, data entry accuracy, customer service via phone, email, and in person. - Program Specialist 2:
Two years office experience, progressive admin experience, records management, data entry accuracy, customer service via phone, email, in person.

Program Coordinator: $45,732–$54,204 annually, increments to $55,584.
Program Specialist 2: $47,988–$56,880 annually, increments to $58,380.
