Unpaid Intern - Atlantic​/Cape ; Divisions & Locations

When you come to work for New Jersey Judiciary you will join an 8500‑member team that operates with the highest standards of independence, integrity, fairness, and quality service. This unpaid internship offers interns the opportunity to gain broad insight and knowledge of the court system while performing clerical, administrative, and customer‑service tasks related to court proceedings.

The Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage is accepting resumes for this unpaid internship across several divisions, including Trial Court Administration, Civil, Criminal, EEO/AA, Family, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Municipal, Operations, and Probation.

The judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The internship may qualify for up to two days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings, provided that a multifactor authentication app is installed and high‑speed home internet is available.

• Work flexible hours, possibly for the spring, summer, or fall 2025 semester.
• Perform clerical, administrative, and support tasks.
• Provide customer‑service duties.
• Enter data and conduct look‑ups.
• File documents.
• Photocopy materials.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Physical ability to climb, stand, bend, stretch, and reach as required.
• Capacity to lift and carry supplies weighing 30–50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license if vehicle operation is needed for the internship.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. according to DHS/USCIS regulations.
• Age 18 or older and willing to undergo a thorough background check, including fingerprinting.
