Charge Entry Specialist (Remote)
100% Remote
Pay: $20/hour (Contract – 12 months)
Schedule:
Full-time after training (7 AM – 5 PM MST)
We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented Charge Entry Specialist to support a fast‑growing, mission‑driven healthcare organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a data‑heavy, structured environment and enjoys working with large datasets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
You’ll play a critical role in supporting charge entry and claims submission processes by validating and managing data that directly impacts patient care and operational success.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high‑volume data entry and data validation
- Create and maintain weekly and monthly reports
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and gaps
- Manipulate large datasets (30,000+ rows) in Excel
- Combine, match, and reconcile data across multiple systems
- Use formulas, conditional formatting, and pivot tables to analyze data
- Build and maintain consistent reporting processes
- Support claims submission through accurate data preparation
- Troubleshoot and resolve data‑related issues independently
- Strong experience in data entry, administrative, or clerical work
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data matching, formatting)
- Ability to take raw datasets and independently structure and clean data
- Strong typing skills (60+ WPM with high accuracy)
- Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence
- Comfortable working with high‑volume, repetitive tasks
- Ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously
- Tech‑savvy with strong remote work capabilities
Excel assessment required (must score 94% or higher)
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in charge entry, billing, or claims processing
- Background in healthcare or revenue cycle management
- Familiarity with data migration and reconciliation processes
- 100% remote (optional Denver office access)
- Must have a private, HIPAA‑compliant workspace
- Must provide dual monitors, Mac‑compatible keyboard and mouse, and 4 weeks of training starting at 8 AM MST part‑time.
