Starting Pay Range $2,640.00 - $2,858.46 - Bi-Weekly Depending on experience

Job Description:

With an emphasis serving schools with diverse and low-socioeconomic student populations and non-traditional learning environments, Skyrocket leadership has over a century’s worth of combined experience leading schools and operational support teams. Skyrocket’s niche expertise is in the intersection between academic and administrative performance.

This position will support the Chief Educational Business Services Officers' teams with administrative needs but also entails some traveling to graduations, ribbon cuttings and school events in the So. CA area helping the marketing team with any set-up, coordination and communication of the events with the schools and clients.

You will assess and manage with influence helping the department reach their goals. If you are a team player, can roll up their sleeves and be the guiding force to help the marketing team complete successful events, you need to apply!

Technical skills with video, graphics, or marketing tools to work on projects is preferred.

You will have a home office but travel 20% to Pasadena, CA and local charter schools in the region.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
* Collects data and prepares reports, including conclusions and recommendations for Executives/Supervisor.

Provides organizational and logistical support as needed for Supervisors.

Reviews, compares and prepares various legal documents (i.e. proposals, petitions, applications) for conformation and consistency.

Enhances executive’s effectiveness by providing information management support

Assist executive with making consistent decisions by advising them of historical precedents; serving as a liaison between other members of the executive team Completes projects and special assignments by establishing objectives; determining priorities; managing time; monitoring progress; and problem-solving

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and researching relevant publications

Prepare project organization and communication charts

Creates and composes correspondence for Supervisor(s) as needed, providing error-free final product with minimal number of drafts.

Assist the Executive in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules

Coordinates schedules and calendars for assigned executive/supervisor.

Handles advanced support for staff meetings and activities (minutes and distribution).Reads, sorts and routes incoming sensitive mail for Supervisor, bringing attention to time sensitive or priority mail as needed.

Acts as liaison or representative for Supervisors in routine administrative activities, conference calls, inquiries or other matters as designated.

Prepares, organizes and maintains corporate documents and records (i.e. notices, minutes, memos, articles).Provides advanced support to other Executives as needed.

Supervise administrative support staff.

Assists with other projects, functions and duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Advanced knowledge of executive assistant duties and working with high level positions within an organization (CEO, CFO, Presidents, Directors of Departments)
Strong knowledge of business environment and office procedures

Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Knowledge of basic accounting

Knowledge of maintenance of filing systems, both electronic and physical

Ability to prepare correspondence, reports, contracts

Ability to listen for and take accurate minutes, publish, distribute for Board Members and departments

Ability to identify Supervisors’ needs and independently resolve potential problems.

Ability to make decisions, exercising reasonable independent judgment and discretion with minimal guidance and/or supervision.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately disseminate information.

Ability to follow up on task commitments and give updates as needed.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining courtesy and professionalism.

Ability to type 50 wpm.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong organizational and proofreading skills, with attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years administrative experience at an executive level or equivalent related experience.
