Overview

Executive Assistant to Founder | NYC | $200k + Equity

Some startups talk about changing the world. This one has the backing to actually do it.

A young founder. A war chest from some of the most respected names in venture capital. A market so large that even a small slice of it builds something significant.

This is an EA role at the centre of that story. Midtown Manhattan. Early-stage. The kind of opportunity where your equity could actually mean something.

Location and Flexibility

Let’s be honest. Ideally, you re in the office. The team is growing fast and being in the room matters.

But this is a startup, and things are being figured out as they scale. When the Founder is travelling, there s more scope for remote work. The rhythm of the role will flex around his schedule.

If you re based elsewhere on the East Coast, can work NYC hours, and bring genuine flexibility, we re open to a conversation. Pitch us. But know that presence in Midtown will still be a regular part of the job.

The Founder

He moves fast. He thinks three steps ahead. He doesn t have time to explain things twice.

You ll need to keep up, anticipate what s coming, and solve problems before he knows they exist. If you ve worked with founders before, you know exactly what this means. If you haven t, this probably isn t the role.

The Role
  • Calendar and schedule management across a diary that changes by the hour
  • Travel coordination across multiple time zones, mostly business, all complex
  • Building systems that make the Founder faster, sharper, and more effective
  • Being in the room. Trusted. Close to the action.
  • This isn t about sitting outside an office and gatekeeping. This is about running his world so he can focus on building the company.
  • This is a Google Workspace, Slack, Notion kind of place and if these aren t already second nature, this isn t the right fit.
What We re Looking For
  • Experience supporting founders, CEOs, or principals in high-growth environments
  • Background in startups, VC, private equity, family offices, or similar
  • Someone who builds structure from chaos and thrives when things move fast
  • Judgement. Discretion. Initiative.
  • A partner, not a passenger.
  • And most importantly, a provable track record of all of the above.
What Won t Work
  • Large corporate backgrounds where process matters more than speed
  • Anyone looking for predictable hours or a gentle learning curve
  • Someone who doesn t have that Founder-led approach
Compensation

Base salary up to $200,000, Meaningful equity and Full benefits, including healthcare
