Salary

The salary range for this position is $47,483.56 to $71,916.05 for Schedule A, and $47,483.56 to $64,381.02 for Schedule

B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule

A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule

B.

Remote Work

The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Responsibilities
  • Handle data entry of all new applications in ISP/JISP automated systems
  • Prepare files utilizing NJ Judiciary Mainframe application
  • Prepare packets for assessment report writers
  • Prepare letters to Judges, prosecutors, police chiefs, victims and etc.
  • Process all approved ISP cases
  • Verify eligibility requirements for ISP have been met
  • Compile necessary information and prepare cases for court
  • Manage and update eligibility files
  • Provide backup coverage for office staff as needed
  • Assist in answering incoming phone calls
  • Staff court proceedings and handle court-related duties such as court prep, operating Court Smart and Court Smart tagging, preparation of orders and other court-related documentation for judges, ISP participants, etc.
  • Prepare and facilitate client files and other court-related documents for records retention
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements

One year of experience performing a variety of clerical and support services to include keyboarding and one or more of the following: document or information processing, handling payments for fees, recording monies received, reconciling balances or accounts and/or scheduling meetings or appointments.

Ability to use a keyboard, no minimum speed.

Physical Ability: Applicants must be able to perform work requiring climbing, prolonged standing, stretching, bending and reaching. Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing 30-50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

Driver's License: A valid New Jersey driver’s license is required if vehicle operation is necessary.

Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidates must be authorized to work in the US per DHS/USCIS regulations.
