Government Operations Consultant II
The Bureau of Operations is seeking a Government Operations Consultant II to join our team! The candidate selected for this position will report to the Operations & Management Consultant Manager in the Division of Medical Quality Assurance's Licensure Support Services Unit. You will assist with technology and operational projects, process improvement initiatives, handle executive briefings, special assignments, and serves as a secondary trainer and purchasing agent for the unit.
The ideal candidate will be able to help manage research, provide data analysis for operational initiatives, assist with training needs and support purchasing functions within the unit.

Your specific responsibilities include:
- Create templates and job aids, guidance documents and reference materials.
- Compose briefing documents and reports, and executive summaries.
- Schedule meetings, take meeting notes, distribute information, track action item completion.
- Organize information, conduct research requested topics or issues, maintain electronic document libraries.
- Compile and assess information from a variety of sources to present options, conclusions or recommendations.
- Serve as the secondary trainer for the MQA Customer Contact Center, including developing and delivering new-hire and on-going training for staff within the unit and across MQA as assigned.
- Support purchasing activities, including preparing requests, gathering quotes, tracking orders and ensuring compliance.
- Serve as a liaison between outside vendors and the unit. Assisting with communication, coordination, scheduling and follow up on services, products or contracted work as needed.
- Work special assignments on short deadlines with accuracy and quality outputs.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs to create documents and supporting information; preferred is a level of Excel knowledge that includes using formulas and functions, as well as proficiency with PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a high degree of competency, accuracy and precision.
- Ability to organize data for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
- Ability to analyze and interpret regulatory information and other data for management review and use.
- Ability to train staff using clear instructional methods, both in person and virtually.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn State of Florida purchasing procedures and procurement processes.
- Ability to communicate professionally with external vendors and coordinate services effectively.
Minimal qualifications:
- Minimum of two years with documentation processing or administrative operations.
- Experience in delivering training and/or instructional support to staff.
This is a full-time, in-office role with no provision for remote work.
