The salary range for this position is $50,417.50 to $71,275.35 for Schedule A, and $50,417.50 to $63,886.40 for Schedule

Under the direction of the Court Executive 2B/Family Division Manager, the successful candidate will possess excellent administrative, written, and verbal communication skills; is attentive to detail; customer-service-oriented; motivated to perform; and understands the importance of the confidential designation of this position. The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings.
ExampleOf Duties
This candidate will be expected to:
- Compose routine correspondence such as form letters or standard replies to inquiries
- Schedule dates and/or times for meetings, trainings, or conferences, both in person and utilizing remote platforms
- Coordinate the Court Executive 2B's calendar/schedule
- Oversee the supplies for the Family Division
- Request needed information from internal and external customers
- Maintain and update internal records
- Perform paper and electronic filing of documents and correspondence
- Answer the phone and direct customers accordingly
- Create and maintain statistical spreadsheet data
- Take the lead in special projects under the direction of the Court Executive 2B / Family Division Manager or designee
- Provide cross training
- Answer inquiries posed by court users
- Perform other related duties as required
Proficient in TEAMS, Zoom, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are preferred. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
QualificationsOne year of experience performing a variety of clerical and support services to include typing, secretarial and administrative clerical work. Ability to use a keyboard, no minimum speed. Successful completion of a clerical training program with a minimum of 700 classroom training hours or 30 semester hour credits in secretarial science may be substituted for one year of the experience indicated above.
Course work must include typing skills, methods and procedures. Certification of successful completion of the Civil Service Commission, Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) Support Specialist Program may be substituted for six months of the required experience.
For some positions, applicants must have the ability to perform work which requires climbing and prolonged standing, stretching, bending and reaching to perform the essential duties of the position. For some positions, the selected candidate must be able to frequently lift and carry supplies weighing from 30 to 50 pounds and, occasionally, materials weighing up to 75 pounds, in order to perform essential duties of the position.
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations. Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
