Job Summary
Part‑time Front‑Desk Clerk, Saturday & Sunday 8:30 am–4:30 pm at the Bruce McCandless Veterans Community Living Center, Florence, Colorado. The role provides customer service, general clerical support, and money‑handling duties while welcoming visitors, answering phones, and giving facility tours.
Responsibilities- Primary telephone communication with internal and external customers, answering main line and routing calls to appropriate extensions.
- Greet visitors, residents and staff; ensure all visitors sign in/out and provide resident room numbers or escort new visitors to rooms.
- Distribute admission information packets and lead tours of the facility for prospective residents and their families.
- Perform general clerical duties: typing, filing, using computer programs and software, maintaining office supplies, and other administrative support as assigned.
- Deliver mail to residents and staff.
- Sell meal tickets and postage stamps; process cash and voucher transactions and provide residents with current personal‑fund account balances.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
- One (1) year of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned.
- Or a combination of related education and/or relevant experience equal to one (1) year.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience answering phones and transferring calls.
- Clerical experience using various computer programs and software.
- Money‑handling experience.
- Experience working with veteran population or in long‑term care.
Background screening for CDHS employees with direct contact with vulnerable persons: name check and fingerprint check, court database checks (Colorado, Medicare fraud, PREA, Trails, CAPS), reference checks, licensure verification, drug screen.
