The Committee Support Specialist is a position that supports Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in overseeing the national organ transplant system. At the center of that is the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), which ensures organs are allocated fairly and based on medical need. A modernizing effort is underway for how policies are developed—making the process more efficient, data-driven, and transparent.
Our role is to enable that process—supporting committees, managing workflows, which ensure policies are implemented effectively. It’s a high-impact program that contributes directly to improving outcomes for patients in need of life-saving transplants and the successful hires will be a part of this effort.
Please note that this position is contingent upon bid awardEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer general inbound calls and place outbound calls with the goal of increasing business, customer satisfaction, and customer retention.
- Follow basic procedures and scripts, using fundamental knowledge of company and project directories, services, and products to assist customers and clients.
- Type or generate letters and other documents as necessary.
- Assist in the maintenance of the office record and filing systems.
- Retrieve, log, and route correspondence (faxes, email, letters, etc.).
- Prepare and log outgoing and incoming shipments.
- Ensure document control of mail and project correspondence.
- Handle mail and postal machine.
-Assist with coordination of meetings both internally and with the customer and participate as necessary. - Backup support for recording and providing meeting minutes within the required time frame as necessary.
Prepares reports and presentation materials. Receives and responds to correspondence. Receives and directs visitors. Schedules meetings, and performs other duties as assigned. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Minimum Requirements- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years of experience required..
Computer skills. Oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and follow directions. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
