Position: Executive Associate I (two positions)

Overview

Montgomery College’s Advancement and Community Engagement (ACE) Division has two Executive Associate I positions, open beginning July 1, 2026. These positions support the ACE Division. Work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. These positions are Non-Bargaining, Non-exempt, and a Grade 25. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. Responsibilities
  • Position #1:
    Provides advanced administrative, executive-level, financial, and operations support to the Executive Director of PIC MC and the ACE Finance and Operations Director. Supports PIC MC, divisional finance and operations, special events, and related strategic projects by managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and materials, supporting PIC MC Foundation Board meetings, maintaining tracking systems, assisting with budget monitoring and reconciliation, and serving as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Position #2:
    Provides advanced administrative, executive-level, and operations support to the Associate Senior Vice President for Advancement and Community Engagement, the Director of Community Engagement, and the Director of Collective Impact. Supports divisional leadership, community engagement initiatives, collective impact programming, and related strategic projects by managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and materials, supporting stakeholder convenings and special events, maintaining tracking systems, assisting with correspondence and reporting, and serving as a liaison with internal and external partners.
  • Duties for both positions include serving as confidential aide to administrators, handling diverse administrative tasks, maintaining calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing correspondence and materials, managing communications, screening inquiries, and facilitating resolution of inquiries from students, parents, and the public.
  • May assist with budget-related activities, maintain databases, develop office procedures, plan events, and provide training to staff and student workers. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Some college coursework in business writing, computer software applications, accounting, or an appropriate combination of education and work experience at an executive support level.
  • The equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Five years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience, two years of which was in support of a leadership position.
  • Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience coordinating meetings and communications with external stakeholders, community partners, or similar organizations.
Compensation and Telework

Hiring Range: $28.79 to $37.42 per hour. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $46.04 per hour. This position is eligible for telework up to two (2) days a week. Telework eligibility and total days per week are subject to change based on operational needs.

Montgomery College does not currently offer voluntary remote work, or withhold payroll taxes for states outside of its tax reciprocity agreements. Employees must reside in and perform any approved telework from Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, or Pennsylvania. Employees residing in other states at the time of hire are not eligible for telework until they have secured permanent residence in one of the listed states.
