Job Overview
The Document Control Specialist will operate in a team environment to support document controls within a large public works construction program of a public healthcare facility in Torrance, CA.
Responsibilities- Assist project managers in the preparation of change orders, notices to proceed, requests for quotation, and other general correspondence.
- Assist project manager in the processing of payment requests, change orders, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Assist project manager with meeting minutes, project status update entries, and payment, change order, RFI, and submittal logs.
- Establish and maintain a project document filing system in accordance with established client procedures.
- Prepare reports in accordance with established client procedures and forms.
- Manage all documents for all projects in the project management system running parallel to client's document control software.
- Enter and track submittals, RFIs, pending change orders, change orders, and invoices that were reviewed and/or prepared by Cost Control Manager and Project Managers.
- Maintain all logs and hard file systems.
- Experience with scanning and converting documents to various specified file formats.
- Knowledge of proper security and preservation of controlled data, documents, and records.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of how the role contributes to the organization's goals and delivering quality work product.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members and clients.

- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management preferred. - Experience:
Minimum ten (10) years of experience providing document control services in the construction field. - Proficiency in using MS Office software.
- Knowledge of Expedition/CM13, e‑Builder, and other similar PMIS systems.
- 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off.
- One day per week remote work allowed.
- Salary range: $57,400.00–$72,733.34 per year.
