Job Description

About the RoleThe General Vending Unit is seeking an experienced and organized Special Applications Supervisor to lead the Application Review section of the unit. The position is responsible for overseeing application review, payment verification, waitlist administration, records management, and related licensing functions to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent processing of General Vending transactions.
Responsibilities- Supervise staff responsible for reviewing and processing applications, renewals, amendments, waitlist transactions, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor application processing activities to ensure compliance with licensing requirements, agency policies, and established procedures.
- Review complex applications, resolve processing issues, and provide guidance on eligibility and documentation requirements.
- Monitor processing timelines, workloads, and staff productivity to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of General Vending waitlists, licensing records, and related data.
- Establish and maintain quality control standards for application review and processing activities.
- Respond to escalated applicant inquiries, complaints, and operational issues.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency, consistency, and customer service.
- Prepare reports, track performance metrics, and identify operational trends requiring management attention.
- Coordinate with other Licensing units and support implementation of General Vending initiatives.
1. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in item
1) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.
