Overview
Florida Connections Academy (FCA) is a tuition-free, online public charter school serving students in grades K-12. FCA is authorized by Hillsborough County Public Schools and is governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), which are accrediting divisions of Cognia.
ResponsibilitiesWorking from the school office in Tampa, FL, or a home office within commutable distance to Tampa, the Registrar (Data Processor) is responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance and processing of student official transcripts, managing course validation procedures, and performing additional support services. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of school administration policies and procedures.
- Entering student information into the school and district information systems, including registrations, course enrollments, and transcripts
- Maintaining current knowledge of federal and state enrollment, credit, and student privacy regulations
- Generating reports as requested
- Answering the phones
- Following up with local school districts for transcript requests and interpretation of student records
- Requesting and updating college/dual enrollment transcripts
- Managing the course validation process
- Assisting with a wide variety of daily responsibilities
- State and district data reporting
- Assisting with state testing preparations and reports
- Additional duties as assigned
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and web-based applications
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer-focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Travel is required for district meetings, school events, and state testing
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication
