The Alliance is the statewide coalition of sexual assault crisis service programs working to end sexual violence through victim assistance, community education, and public policy advocacy. The mission of The Alliance is to prevent sexual violence in Connecticut and foster a statewide network of support for victims and survivors. The Alliance envisions a world in which every person is doing their part to prevent sexual violence, every member center has the resources they need to serve their communities, and every survivor has support.

Under the supervision of the Deputy Director, the Office and Operations Manager will provide support to Alliance staff on routine clerical and special project support. This is a full‑time position.

Primary Duties
  • Provide front office and executive support, including greeting visitors, managing phone and email communications, and maintaining a professional office environment.
  • Support board, committee, and stakeholder activities, including preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and taking meeting minutes.
  • Maintain and update organizational systems, including databases, directories, filing systems, and internal/external communications.
  • Assist with administrative aspects of grant reporting, including preparing and submission of applications, monthly reconciliation, and overseeing timelines.
  • Coordinate general office operations, including meeting materials, catering, travel arrangements, and support for events, interns, and routine office functions.
  • Support planning and coordination of projects and organizational initiatives (e.g., site visits, meetings, events), ensuring timelines and deliverables are tracked and met.
  • Assist in maintaining project tracking tools and documentation, including updating site visit tools, project schedules, and status updates.
  • Coordinate tasks and communication across internal teams to support execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor progress on assigned projects, identify potential delays or issues, and elevate concerns as appropriate.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts by helping develop and document procedures, workflows, and best practices for the Operations team.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support to project leads, including preparing materials, organizing data, and supporting project close‑out activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Deputy Director.
Education, Licenses, and Years of Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of administrative experience and 1 year of project management experience or any combination of the two
Qualifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and experience, preferably with Word, Excel, and Google Docs
  • Excellent organization and time‑management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to initiate and follow through on projects with a minimum of supervision
  • Knowledge of office equipment, e.g., printers, scanners, postage meter, fax, etc.
  • Possess a cooperative work ethic
  • Reliable transportation to pick up supplies as needed

Additional Information

The successful candidate must acquire and maintain Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor/Advocate Certification within the first six months of employment.
