Clerical Assistant 2 Position

This position supports the preservation and digitization of the Commission's historic records while working closely with a collaborative team. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Record Conversion: Convert historic paper records into digital formats using specialized tools
- Confidential Review: Assess materials carefully and identify information that must remain secure
- Research Support: Locate and organize documents to assist with accurate record processing
- Equipment Learning: Operate state of the art digitization equipment to support record preservation
- Public Access Preparation: Prepare finalized digital records for online publication to serve the public
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. The successful candidate is required to report to the headquarters worksite daily, unless the employee meets eligibility requirements and telework has been approved. Management may discontinue any telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. - Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831.00 (before taxes). - You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
