OverviewAre you ready to take on an exciting leadership role where your organizational skills and attention to detail make a direct impact on employee support and public services? As a Clerical Supervisor 2 with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), you will help steer daily office activities that support critical county operations. This role affords the opportunity to grow your leadership skills while guiding staff and navigating key administrative tasks.
Descriptionof Work
- Staff Oversight: Supervise and support clerical employees to maintain efficient county office operations
- Human Resource Coordination: Manage hiring actions, training schedules, onboarding tasks, and employee records
- Record Management: Maintain personnel files, track certifications, and update organizational charts and seniority lists
- Administrative Support: Prepare documents, schedule events, and provide reception services when needed
- Operational Tracking: Review reports, monitor overtime usage, and maintain logs for bids, training, and personnel actions
- Customer Interaction: Respond to public inquiries, route communications, and process requests related to claims and programs
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
- Work hours subject to change based on operational needs
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home part-time on an ad hoc basis. Telework requires a securely configured high-speed internet connection and an approved location within Pennsylvania. If unable to telework, you may report to the headquarters office at the Bucks County Maintenance Office. Telework availability may change at any time.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at a starting annual salary of $46,827.00 (before taxes)

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Or one year as a Clerical Assistant 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Or two years as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Or an equivalent combination of experience and training
