DESCRIPTION OF WORKThe position supports the preservation and digitization of the Commission's historic records while working closely with a collaborative team. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Record Conversion:
Convert historic paper records into digital formats using specialized tools. - Confidential Review:
Assess materials carefully and identify information that must remain secure. - Research Support:
Locate and organize documents to assist with accurate record processing. - Equipment Learning:
Operate state‑of‑the‑art digitization equipment to support record preservation. - Public Access Preparation:
Prepare finalized digital records for online publication to serve the public.
- Full‑time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch break.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home part‑time. The successful candidate is required to report to the headquarters worksite daily unless telework has been approved. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. - Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831.00 (before taxes).
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
