This position supports a wide range of administrative and program tasks that help the bureau operate smoothly. The work involves research, coordination, and detailed review of information to help guide program decisions. As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Procurement Support: Review purchase requests, gather price quotes, and prepare orders for needed supplies and services
- Contract Assistance: Help draft, update, and track contracts while supporting staff with required documentation
- Grant Processing: Review applications, check documentation for accuracy, and apply rules to determine eligible costs
- Financial Tracking: Compile fiscal reports and verify invoices to ensure correct use of program funding
- Travel Coordination: Prepare travel packets, confirm required forms, and maintain organized travel records
- Document Management: Update forms, process print requests, and maintain organized document files for staff use

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
Additional details may be provided during the interview. - Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827.00 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
