Organization: Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection (CSDP)

Location: Tucson, AZ (Hybrid/Remote)

Job Type: Part-time (8–10 hours/week)

Pay: $21–$25/hour

Position Overview

The Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection (CSDP) is seeking an organized and motivated Operations Coordinator to support the organization’s day-to-day operations. This flexible, part-time position works closely with CSDP’s Co-Executive Directors to coordinate administrative, financial, and logistical functions that help advance conservation efforts throughout Southern Arizona.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and grant tracking
  • Process invoices, payments, deposits, and maintain financial records
  • Coordinate with accountants, vendors, consultants, and service providers
  • Manage office equipment, software subscriptions, and organizational supplies
  • Support hiring efforts, including job postings and applicant coordination
  • Help organize meetings, board activities, trainings, donor events, and field trips
  • Assist with registrations, scheduling, and preparation of event materials
  • Provide general administrative and operational support for organizational projects
Qualifications
  • Experience in nonprofit administration, operations, bookkeeping, office management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience managing budgets, expenses, or financial records
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and cloud-based collaboration tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
  • Interest in conservation, nonprofit work, or environmental planning is highly desirable
  • Hybrid work environment with remote work opportunities
