The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking an organized, customer-focused Office Assistant 3 to join the Headquarters Maintenance team in Tumwater, WA. In this role, you will provide a wide range of administrative support that helps keep statewide maintenance operations running efficiently. From serving as the first point of contact for customers and coordinating travel and meetings to managing purchasing activities and supporting office logistics, your work will contribute directly to the success of the Maintenance Operations Division.

Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, you will:
- Serve as the first point of contact by responding to phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries while providing courteous, timely, and solution-focused customer service.
- Coordinate statewide travel arrangements, conference registrations, lodging, meeting logistics, calendars, and mail distribution for Headquarters Maintenance staff.
- Purchase office supplies, equipment, publications, and training materials while maintaining inventory records, coordinating printing services, and supporting asset inventory activities.
- Review purchasing transactions for accuracy and compliance, monitor purchasing activities, communicate with staff regarding transaction status, and assist with reconciliation and records retention requirements.
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and training logistics; provide administrative support to division programs; assist with basic office technology needs; and perform additional administrative duties to support efficient office operations.

It is preferred that qualified candidates also demonstrate:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Windows-based systems, and cloud-based applications to prepare, proofread, and maintain accurate documents and records.
- Meeting and Event Coordination: Experience coordinating meetings, conferences, training sessions, or special events, including scheduling, logistics, room setup, participant communications, and administrative support.

In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position.
