Description Of WorkThis position supports case management staff by handling clerical tasks that keep program operations organized and efficient. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Public Response: Answer questions from callers and identify the correct direction for their inquiries
- Account Management: Review information and assist program staff by forwarding inquiries to appropriate areas
- Referral Review: Examine new referrals and determine eligibility based on program criteria
- Data Updating: Enter and update information in the program database and maintain electronic case files
- Compliance Review: Examine reports to identify participant compliance or issues that require attention
- Correspondence Drafting: Prepare clear written communication based on information provided by case managers

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% of the work week after completing the 6-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA.
The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview. - Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes). - You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
