About the Role

As an Office Manager, you'll play a critical role in keeping our funeral home running smoothly while helping create a compassionate, professional experience for every family we serve. You'll oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the office, supporting funeral directors, staff, and leadership through effective coordination of records, scheduling, financial documentation, customer service, and office communications.

This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service with empathy and professionalism. You'll work closely with the funeral home leadership team to ensure operational excellence while helping families feel welcomed and supported during life's most difficult moments.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed may be required.

What You'll Do Administrative & Operational Support
  • Serve as the primary administrative support for the funeral home, assisting families, staff, and vendor partners
  • Prepare and maintain contracts, case files, death certificates, permits, and other required documentation
  • Support Funeral Directors throughout the arrangement process by preparing service materials and coordinating administrative details
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Process payments and maintain accurate financial and contractual records
  • Prepare invoices, deposits, and supporting documentation for Home Office processing
  • Assist with accounts payable activities, financial reporting, and case reconciliation

In select locations, the Office Manager may also:

  • Coordinate scheduling and daily workflow for Funeral Attendants
  • Review timekeeping records and submit accurate payroll information for hourly and on-call team members
  • Assist with onboarding and training of administrative staff and Funeral Attendants
  • Support the Location Manager in maintaining efficient day-to-day operations
What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of administrative, office management, or customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Proficiency with a variety of technology and office software (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate, team-oriented approach and a genuine commitment to serving families with dignity and respect
