The Administrative Officer 1 position with the Department of Education gives you an important role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. You will support printing services, vehicle coordination and mailroom processes in addition to supervising two staff members. This role supports several operational areas, including duplication and printing services, mailroom operations, and vehicle administration, to ensure smooth daily workflows. The work helps the Division maintain accurate records, support staff needs, and uphold strong service standards. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Print Services: Administer printing operations, review project needs, and coordinate with program staff and vendors
- Mailroom Support: Assist with sorting mail, tracking packages, and backing up daily mailroom activities
- Fleet Management: Oversee leased vehicles, schedule maintenance, and participate in automotive meetings
- Parking Coordination: Help assign temporary parking passes and update staff parking information
- Record Transfers: Assist with preparing and staging records for State Records Center transfers
- Procedure Maintenance: Ensure division procedures are kept current and available to staff

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to four days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license.
