This position is full time (40 hours / week), Monday
- Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9:30 am - 6:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

We offer 2 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST from Monday
- Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities, and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and / or providers
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents / triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Handle resolution / inquiries from members and / or providers

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience with taking 40+ calls in a high-volume call center environment
  • 1+ years of experience in health insurance OR medical billing
  • Experience in working with key performance indicators (average handle time, call volume, etc.)
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work full time (40 hours / week), Monday

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in working with ICD - 9 / 10 and CPT codes
  • Professional experience in a clerical OR administrative support related role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Word (creating, editing, saving documents) and Microsoft Excel (creating, editing, saving spreadsheets)

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a United Health Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
