This position provides essential timekeeping and clerical support for a regional HR office that serves State Correctional Institutions. It ensures accurate payroll actions and consistent recordkeeping for staff in multiple bargaining units. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Timekeeping Tasks: Process time entries and payroll actions in SAP for H1 staff, Corrections Officers, Commissioned Officers, and all other employees within the institution.
- Error Resolution: Use your knowledge of pay rules, collective bargaining agreements, and time-related policies to investigate pay discrepancies and correct time entries according to established standards.
- Record Tracking: Monitor overtime, schedule changes, absences, and related timekeeping details.
- Clerical Support: Complete filing, typing, phone responses, email handling, and data entry duties.
- Information Management: Update systems, maintain accurate files, and organize documents for review.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to two days per week, after successful completion of a six-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office at SCI Mercer.

- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or - One year of moderately complex clerical experience;
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
