Role DescriptionThis is a contract, hybrid Front Desk Receptionist role based in Lees Summit, MO, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for greeting clients, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and serving as the first point of contact for in-person and phone inquiries. Daily tasks include answering and routing phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, maintaining accurate client records, and handling basic clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.
The role also includes monitoring the waiting area, supporting providers with administrative needs, and ensuring that all interactions reflect the clinic’s commitment to neurodiversity, respect, and accessibility.
- Strong Phone Etiquette and Communication skills, including clear, respectful, and patient interaction with clients and families.
- Experience with Receptionist Duties such as greeting visitors, managing appointments, and coordinating front desk operations.
- Proficient Clerical Skills, including data entry, filing, record keeping, and basic computer literacy (email, scheduling software, EMR systems preferred).
- Proven Customer Service experience, with the ability to provide calm, empathetic, and solution-focused support in a clinical or service environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy regulations in a healthcare setting.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with reliability in managing time-sensitive tasks.
- Comfort working with neurodivergent individuals and a willingness to learn about neurodiversity-informed practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a medical or behavioral health office is preferred.
