Role Description The Person al Assistant is a full-time hybrid role based in Waco, TX, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role supports leadership by managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings and events. Daily responsibilities include handling phone calls and email correspondence, organizing documents, preparing simple reports, and maintaining accurate records. The Person al Assistant will assist with travel arrangements, expense tracking, and basic office tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
This position may also involve liaising with internal team members and external partners, providing timely information, and supporting special projects related to veteran programs and foundation activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Personal Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance skills to support leadership and daily operations.
- Candidates should possess solid Communication skills to interact professionally with veterans, team members, and external partners.
- Candidates should possess effective Diary Management and scheduling abilities to coordinate meetings, appointments, and events.
- Candidates should possess reliable Clerical Skills, including document organization, data entry, and basic office administration.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, calendars, word processing, spreadsheets).
- Demonstrated discretion and respect for confidentiality, especially when handling sensitive veteran information.
- High level of integrity, empathy, and alignment with the foundation’s mission to support veterans in recovery.
- Previous experience in administrative support, nonprofit work, or veteran-focused organizations is beneficial.
