DESCRIPTIONOF WORK
This position provides key clerical support that keeps the Pennsylvania State Lottery Area Office operating efficiently and ensures retailers and staff receive timely assistance. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Call Handling:
Answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate staff or supervisor - Document Preparation:
Compose and type letters, memos, and forms for managerial review - Report Support:
Gather sales information and create monthly and ad hoc reports using internal systems and Excel - Retailer Assistance:
Provide guidance to retailers by applying knowledge of Lottery games, procedures, and policies - Data Entry:
Process applications, ownership changes, and other retailer updates in the Lottery system - Mail Processing:
Open, distribute, and prepare outgoing mail including certified and UPS items

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, ad hoc based on operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes). - You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. - Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
