Job Title
The Monmouth Vicinage Information Technology Division is seeking a candidate who is a creative thinker, with resource handling skills and customer service skills to perform administrative duties to assist in day-to-day operations.
Job DescriptionThe Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth. The self-managing individual will use their ability to teach others basic technology tasks and apply technology to tasks to provide a variety of administrative support functions to the Division Manager, Assistant IT Division Manager and IT staff. Remote work is available up to 2 days a week outside of Judiciary buildings.
Example of DutiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and maintain the IT Division Manager's calendar
- Advise management regarding deadlines and events
- Assist with drafting meeting agendas and minutes
- Compose and proofread correspondence and reports
- Create and maintain charts and spreadsheets
- Maintain and order supplies for the division
- Assist with IT equipment and inventory and associated documentation
- Work with IT staff, Finance and vendors to determine and procure IT equipment for all vicinage staff
- Develop and maintain IT documentation repositories in SharePoint and Teams
- Manage and direct IT assistance requests sent through JATS, email and phone calls
- Moderate vicinage events through Zoom
- Work on special projects as needed
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
QualificationsThree years of experience performing a variety of clerical and support services to include keyboarding and one or more of the following: document or information processing, handling payments for fees, recording monies received, reconciling balances or accounts and/or scheduling meetings or appointments. Ability to use a keyboard, no minimum speed.
Supplemental InformationPhysical Ability:
For some positions, applicants must have the ability to perform work which requires climbing and prolonged standing, stretching, bending and reaching to perform the essential duties of the position. For some positions, the selected candidate must be able to frequently lift and carry supplies weighing from 30 to 50 pounds and, occasionally, materials weighing up to 75 pounds, in order to perform essential duties of the position.
Driver's License:
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
