DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis role supports the management of work-related injury claims and helps keep important information accurate and organized. You will be helping employees, supervisors, and team members understand required processes and maintain compliance with policies. As a Human Resource Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Claims Review:
Investigate new injury claims by gathering information from employees, supervisors, and other contacts - Information Updates:
Update claim records, prepare letters, and adjust claim status based on investigation results - Employee Guidance:
Provide basic information about injury management, medical treatment, and related processes - Administrative Tasks:
Process claim packets, activate prescription and managed care cards, and maintain file retention schedules - Report Preparation:
Compile and send monthly reports to agencies served by the division - Support Services:
Assist with mail distribution, phone coverage, email monitoring, and other team needs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office at minimum one day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview. - Salary:

- One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A final offer of employment may require successful completion of a Pennsylvania State Police background check.
