important note: candidates must be permanent in the principal administrative associate civil service title or are reachable on the principal administrative associate civil service exam no. 1128, or be permanent in a comparable civil service title eligible for a 6.1.9 title change. Nyc department of finance (dof) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.
Dof's sheriff’s office serves and enforces court mandates, orders of protection, warrants, decrees, and property seizures. Additionally, the sheriff’s office conducts criminal investigations of real property fraud, tax crimes, and the trafficking of illegal and untaxed tobacco products and synthetic narcotics, and monitors defendants referred by the courts for electronic monitoring. The sheriff office is seeking an organized, reliable, and motivated individual to serve as a senior customer service representative.
The ideal candidate will perform administrative duties in the bureau of criminal investigations (bci) unit, handling tasks related to the operation padlock to protect enforcement program. Principal administrative assoc - 10124
reporting to a bci unit manager, the selected candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following.
- perform difficult and specialized administrative work.
- coordinate and perform tasks related to records management and operations tracking, including, data entry, preparation and transfer of case files, evidence documents, and documentation following inspections.
- prepare and execute mailings for respondents. Track correspondence to ensure compliance.
- maintain and monitor tracking system for correspondence.
- compile data and update databases.
- prepare p report, correspondence and other communications.
- perform related administrative tasks related to operation padlock to protect.
- monitor program budgets.
- prepare and maintain various reports, and financial summaries.
- process paperwork, orders, and payment requests in a timely manner for enforcement operations.
in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the united states and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
this position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the remote work pilot program agreed between the city and the collective bargaining unit representing employees serving in the civil service title.
