Job Profile Summary The Environmental Compliance Coordinator supports the Environmental Shared Services (ESS) Compliance team with comprehensive administrative tasks. Reporting directly to the Regional Environmental Compliance Manager, the role works directly with a team of approximately 15 Environmental Compliance Specialists, Sr. Specialists, Data Coordinators, and Supervisors to assist in maintaining Regional environmental compliance of underground storage tank (UST) systems including invoicing, data entry, and reporting.
The Coordinator role involves understanding state/federal regulations, maintaining databases, monitoring release detection equipment, coordinating invoice processing, and assisting with contractor/vendor work orders. The ideal candidate demonstrates organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to exercise sound judgement in a fast-paced environment.
- Supports Compliance team by answering questions and furnishing information based on company policies and procedures.
- Compiles and communicates environmental work to the appropriate teams and contractors/vendors.
- Apply basic judgment to prioritize workload and resolve routine issues independently.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail promptly.
- Maintain office supply inventory and place orders as needed.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, data privacy standards, and employment law.
- Assess type and urgency for escalations and route to appropriate team members.
- Maintains environmental databases and systems through data collection, scanning, data entry, and reporting.
- Coordinates ESS invoice processing and payments.
- Works with internal programs, and financial platforms to address any billing concerns or statement discrepancies.
- Provide project assistance and support for special initiatives.
- Assists in the monitoring, tracking, and processing of regulations, inspections, testing, and reports.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with supervisory personnel, co-workers, government representatives, and other internal and external business professionals.
- Other assigned duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
- High school diploma;
Associates degree preferred. - 0-2 years of experience or more preferred.
- Must be computer literate in Word, Excel, Outlook, external Databases and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read, listen, understand, focus on and communicate information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner, both orally and in writing.
- Comfortable in asking questions and seeking direction and answers as necessary.
Work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of keyboard/computer. Work requires occasional bending, reaching and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds. Work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions can be stressful.
Working ConditionsNormal office environment with little to no exposure to adverse working conditions. Work may occasionally include long hours and travel. Occasional exposure to fuel/fuel vapors if required to attend site level inspections or training. Remote work by approval only.
