Job Description SummaryPerforms a variety of moderately complex administrative tasks requiring some independent judgment related to ensuring the successful completion of the daily operations of Admission,Registrar and Student Financial Assistance. This position works 30 hours per week from August to Mid May eachyear.
Job Description Essential DutiesAssist in the daily management of the visit phone line by identifying the customers’ needs and directing callers to ensureimpeccable customer service and timely response rate to all inquiries and concerns related to the visit experience.
Assist the Senior Visit Coordinator, including front desk coverage,room scheduling, coordinating faculty appointments, etc.
Provide administrative support including calendar management,triaging calls, preparing agendas for meetings, as well as other duties as requested.
Provide event and project support, as requested
Maintains complete, accurate, and up-to-date files and computerdatabases on students.
Serves as informational resource for students and parents;investigates and resolves problems and difficulties regardingadmission, registration and financial assistance. Interpretspolicies and procedures.
Assist students and parents in various routine and non-routine activities regarding admissions, registration, and financialassistance.
Performs a variety of intermediate to complex administrative tasks which may include process admission applications, credentials, and decisions; registration, course evaluation, classroom scheduling and evaluate transfer coursework; process student loan applications, monitoring loan progress, and process scholarshipapplication.
Monitors and reviews projects; ensures all necessary changes aremade. Gathers and analyzes statistical information regardingadmission, registrar and student financial assistance's program sand activities; produces reports.
Performs a variety of administrative tasks including answering phones, typing, coordinating bulk mailings, ordering supplies andcopying.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsRequires twelve months of coursework or training beyond high schooland two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of unit's operations, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of computers and office applications
- Knowledge of related state and federal laws, e.g. FERPA
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with people with diverse backgrounds
- May require supervisory, clerical and/or research skills
